Growing up in a small town with so many memories all around.
Flashbacks of those yesterdays but willl it always be this way?
Memories greatly feared, but please, don't completely disappear.
Flashbacks once again,repeat, walking down city main street.
Painted windows of the stores, designed by the cheerleaders for,
Homecoming football games that will never be quite the same.
Noisy Kiddys' Playground with that awesome giggles sound,
and to remember when, if only a chance to start all over again.
Flashbacks of the good and bad, mostly being awfully sad.
Death of one's child again, the grieving, never will it end.

TO OUR BEAUTIFUL KANDA MICHELLE JACOBS MAY 24, 1973 - APRIL 13, 2004
We do not know how we have managed to live through these past 4 years without you. Your Dad and I both turn and stare at any short girl with blonde hair pulled up in a pony tail. We are in a trance until she disappears out of sight. We do not even converse with each other because we know what the other one is thinking so no words are spoken.
We have asked 'WHY" a million times but there will be no answers in our life time.
We feel so guilty for not being more perceptive of what was going on with your body. We were your parents and we struggled constantly trying to protect you, moving you from the house on the highway to the cozy house in town. We could finally sleep at night, knowing when you returned home after work early in the morning hours, you would be safe.
If only we had taken you to a specialist concerning your seizures. Why were we so ignorant concerning seizure activity? We feel we failed you in some way, but we can not turn back the clock before 4-13-04 and fix our mistake.
WE NOW HAVE TO LIVE OUR LIVES WITHOUT OUR KANDA!!!!
IN MEMORY OF SHARI NORTON MCDANNEL HARLAN JULY 6, 1964 - JULY 6, 2005 (Page 29 and 30 to know OUR SHARI) THANK YOU
Shari Norton Harlan, Kanda's cousin, passed away on her 41st birthday on July 6, 2005 from complications related to her reoccurring cancer. She passed away peacefully in the care of ORMC Hospital in Orlando, Florida. She fought her breast cancer with dignity and grace by sharing a web site with all and in February of 05 she thought she had won the race, but it was not to be.
All visitors are welcome to visit and to share Shari's journal as she fought so bravely and even though Shari is now in Heaven we, her family, check her guest book daily so feel free to sign in.
Our family lost two beautiful young women within 15 months but sharing these web sites are so much a part of our healing. We, the family of Shari, do very much thank everyone for all their support and prayers.
